Planning to be an accountant, I attended the UW for a quarter before transferring to GRCC in 72. There I met my first wife Debi Kemery. We married in Dec 73 and had Chris & Jon Jr. I stayed in the grocery business working my way through the management ranks. Things didn't work out and we divorced in 81. In 83 I met Jeri(Kenmore girl) while working at Albertsons. We married in 84 & lived in Kingston. We had Jamie in 85 and I left Albertsons to take a sales rep job. In 99 and 02 my companies closed. Most recently I worked for Acme Foods as Director of Product Development /Sales Manager but left in 2011. Now a grandfather of Trey 20, Isaiah 10, Jesse 9, Isabella 8 and Jeremy 7. Jeri is retired from Albertsons but works part time with Safeway.
We have lived in the same house in Kent since 85. I was President of our HOA for 29 years. I coached baseball then fastpitch for select teams and proudly saw many of my kids attend colleges on scholarships. One young lady was on the UW National Championship team in 2009! Also a high school umpire and avid baseball fan. We try to attend spring training annually.
Dave Alexander, class of 73, was my best friend in high school and continues to be as we age gracefully. He is retired from teaching 4-6th grade in Pt Orchard. We do all kinds of things together- one highlight being a National Fantasy Football contest with the draft being in Vegas in 2001. We took 1st place in our league. Golf has been a big part of our lives as we have traveled to some nice courses over the year. My brother Jimmy passed in 2004 and we have an annual golf tournament in Sequim named in his memory.
Jon Jr moved to Arizona in 1999. Since then we have traveled there frequently visiting the grandkids and enjoying the desert lifestyle. We would love to have a 2nd home there.
Chris lives locally is married to a lovely woman Emilie, they went to the same high school- Kentridge.
Jamie is in a single mom and lives a couple miles away. She is a licensed esthetician(facials and skin care). We take care of her guys often.
I was happy to volunteer to help with our class reunion and hope you enjoy the website.
Ryan Egerdahl, Dave Alexander and I decided to take my brown nosing VW Beetle on our class field trip to Vancouver instead of going with the class- 70's freedom, you gotta love it!- We shadowed the group all over Stanley Park, driving alongside the buses. When we approached Mr. Herron's bus Dave and Ryan hung a BA. Of course word got back to the principal and the three of us were suspended pending meetings with our parents. Ryan's dad- Pastor Egerdahl, Dave's dad- Mr Alexander a prof at GRCC and of course a friend of Mr Wedekind, and my dad- a house painter. Well, we got reinstated and wouldn't have changed a thing!
A friend invited me for a sail and it got a bit windy.... Pacific ParaSail working off the Ram Restaurant dock www,pacificparasail.net to get more info- great people!
